General
What is HaulGuardPro?
HaulGuardPro is a web-based platform for U.S. trucking companies. It combines compliance deadline tracking, fleet and driver management, load and dispatch, truck routing, live tracking, documents, and a mobile-friendly Driver Portal in one place.
Who is HaulGuardPro for?
Owner-operators, small fleets, dispatch teams, compliance staff, managers, and drivers who want one system to run compliance and daily trucking operations instead of five.
Is HaulGuardPro a filing agency?
No. HaulGuardPro is a compliance management and reminder platform, not a filing agency. It gives you DIY guides so you can file yourself, plus a directory of vetted agencies if you'd rather have someone else handle it.
Do I need to install an app?
No. HaulGuardPro is web-based - the dashboard and Driver Portal both work in a browser on desktop or mobile, so there's nothing to download or keep updated.
Compliance Management
What compliance information can I track?
DOT/FMCSA-related items and services such as UCR, IFTA, IRP, BOC-3, and other filings configured in the platform - plus any custom service you add yourself.
How do compliance reminders work?
You choose how far in advance to be notified - 90, 30, 14, or 7 days before a deadline - and pick push, email, or SMS. You can set multiple reminders per filing.
Does HaulGuardPro automatically file compliance documents for me?
No. HaulGuardPro helps you organize information, track deadlines, and follow DIY guides - the actual filing is done by you or by a professional you choose from the agency directory.
DIY Guides
What are the DIY compliance guides?
Step-by-step, practical guides covering what information you need, deadlines to watch, and the general steps a carrier follows for a given filing - built so you can handle it yourself.
Are DIY guides a substitute for legal advice?
No. They're informational resources, not a substitute for legal, regulatory, or tax advice.
Fleet & Driver Management
Can I manage trucks and trailers?
Yes. Truck and trailer records include registration, insurance, documents, and expiration tracking, all centralized with your driver and compliance data.
Can drivers log in to HaulGuardPro?
Yes, through a dedicated Driver Portal with their own credentials. Drivers see only the loads assigned to them - never the whole company's data.
Can drivers upload documents from their phone?
Yes. The mobile-friendly Driver Portal supports document uploads and can use the phone camera for photo uploads - no separate app required.
Load & Dispatch Management
What can I do with load management?
Create, assign, and track loads from pickup to delivery - driver, truck, and trailer as a unit, rate confirmations and BOLs, load notes, and a public tracking link you can share with shippers.
Can I assign a dispatcher to a load?
Yes, loads support an optional dispatcher assignment, and dispatcher accounts get their own permissions through team roles.
Can a viewer role make changes?
No - the viewer role is read-only by design, useful for accountants or auditors who need visibility without edit access.
Truck Routing & GPS Tracking
Does HaulGuardPro provide truck-specific routing?
Yes, powered by HERE routing technology, which accounts for commercial vehicle dimensions and cargo weight rather than treating your truck like a car.
Can customers track a load?
Yes - public tracking links can be shared with shippers, customers, or brokers for an active load.
Does GPS tracking work in the background?
The current Driver Portal tracking is designed for active, foreground browser use - it's not a background/ELD replacement.
Documents & Team Access
Can I track document expiration dates?
Yes - supported company, driver, vehicle, and load documents can carry expiration dates and reminder schedules.
Can my team have different permission levels?
Yes. Dispatcher, Compliance Agent, Manager, and Viewer roles each get their own scoped permissions and their own login.
