Motor vehicle record reviews are an important part of commercial driver qualification and ongoing safety management.   1. Obtain the required MVR. Obtain the applicable driving record through an authorized source and according to applicable law.
  2. Verify identity. Confirm that the record belongs to the driver being evaluated.
  3. Review license status. Check license class, endorsements, restrictions, suspensions, and other relevant information.
  4. Document the review. Keep evidence of the review in the appropriate driver compliance records.
  5. Schedule recurring reviews. Calendar the reviews required by the applicable FMCSA rules and company safety program.
