How to File Your USDOT Biennial Update (MCS-150)

  1. Gather your info. Have your USDOT number, EIN or SSN, and current fleet/mileage numbers ready before you start.
  2. Log in to URS. Go to the FMCSA Unified Registration System portal and log in with your USDOT PIN.
  3. Update your MCS-150. Select "Update MCS-150" and review every section - carrier info, cargo classifications, and fleet size.
  4. Submit and confirm. Submit the form and save the confirmation email - it is your proof of filing if ever audited.
